There are milestones in a photographer's life that mark a turning point, and this is clearly one of them. I had the immense honor of participating in my first gallery exhibition, in a truly prestigious venue: the RBSA Gallery (Royal Birmingham Society of Artists). A Birmingham gallery opened by the Prince of Wales himself in 2000.
From February 27th to March 22nd, I exhibited one of my photographs there as part of the Photography Prize 2025 , alongside other emerging talents from all over Europe. Seeing my work hanging on the walls of such a symbolic place, at the heart of such a rich selection, was an emotion difficult to describe.
Even though I didn't win the main prize, the experience far exceeded my expectations. The exchanges, the looks, the encounters... all of this was worth more than any award. In particular, I had the incredible opportunity to meet Ronnie Ackling , a photographer I deeply admire. His humility, his sensitivity, and his vision of the world inspired me greatly.
This exhibition will remain etched as a founding moment in my career. It gave me confidence, allowed me to share my perspective with a new audience, and reminded me that the most important thing is to dare to show what you have to say, image after image.
Thank you to all those who encourage me, and see you soon for the rest.
